VACANCY IN CARIGALI-PTTEPI OPERATING COMPANY SDN BHD

CARIGALI-PTTEPI OPERATING COMPANY SDN BHD is a joint-operating company between PCJDA Limited (part of Petronas Group of Companies) and PTTEP International Ltd of Thailand, undertaking the exploration and development of oil & gas. It is the Joint Development Area under the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority (MTJA). Due to the expansion plan for the upstream activities, currently we are searching suitable and experienced candidates with oil and gas background to fill up vacant positions in our organization.

Project Department (Development & Production Division)

1) Head of Modification Construction

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that any HSE Issues are addressed, and help promote the project Safety Culture.
- Effectively execute the role of CPOC Rep at Contractors PMT Office.
- Understanding Engineering Scope/ and ensure that all Procurement and Expediting functions are efficiently and effectively carried out by Contractor.
- Liaise with CPOC Construction Rep at LCB and understand all priority Engineering and procurement priorities at the Fab Yard.
- Liaise with CPOC KL PMT and highlight any/ all Engineering related issues that are causing problems.
- Implement Coordination Meetings as necessary at BKK PMT Office.
- Attend Weekly Progress Meeting at LCB Yard.
- Issue Weekly Summary Report to CPOC KL PMT also copy CPOC Yards Reps.
- Develop a good Team Working relationship with Contractor.
- Assist Contractor in all respects (to help us).

Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Instrument Engineering and Electrical and Control Engineering.
- Min 10 years experience in instrument design and integrity management of offshore platforms, wellhead platforms and central processing platforms for oil & gas installations.
- Conceptual/ FEED and Detail Engineering of Instrument and electrical design and analysis (for wellhead platforms, central processing platform, utility platform).
- Well versed with process logic and shutdown system, cause and effect development, SIL analysis, instrument protected system design and trouble shooting, SCADA, Telecommunication system, wellhead control system, instrument and electrical specifications.
- Conversant with all relevant international codes and practices such as IEC, NEC, API.
- Working experience and knowledge of instrument and electrical packages.
- Experience of project instrument & electrical deliverables preparation and review not limited to design basis, specifications, analysis, procedure and report, safety studies, material take off, purchase requisition, design calculation report, coordination and checking of PDMS models, technical bid evaluation, input for bid dossier.
- Experience of Green field and Brown field instrument and electrical design and construction support.

2) Modification Project Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Define project plans, work programs and budgets, and project development strategies in compliance with the Company’s policy and objectives.
- Monitor and manage stakeholders to ensure that the projects’ performance in terms of technical quality, work progress, and cost control are aligned with the defined strategies and approved plans.
- Identify and troubleshoot potential and actual problems and also prevent and manage risks.
- Keep abreast of developments in the area of project management. Liaise with relevant departments to ensure the smooth operations within due time.
- Promote the implementation and adherence to the Company’s SSHE rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with drafting, engineering, procurement and legal teams in preparing the material specification & procurement process, drawing package, bid package, evaluation process and contract document.
- Provide technical advice/ solution upon request during the construction and commissioning phases.
- Ensure the proper administration and follow-up of the project’s documentations e.g. Change Order Request, Technical Query (TQ), drawings, etc. Generate corrective actions when required.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering discipline.
- 10 year experiences and strong discipline background in oil & gas or petrochemical, and/ or design issues including safety system & major equipment projects.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

3) Piping/ Mechanical Designer
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Discipline Engineer(s) to ensure the all relevant information is available in order to commence with detailed engineering. Study & make any recommendations to improve/ consolidate the design.
- Perform site survey to verify the design/ dimensions and review installation and constructability.
- To ensure that the design conforms to the project requirements and ensure technical conformity to Company & International standard and specification, constructability, and correctness of the design packages.
- Review and prepare materials take-off as per projects requirements.
- Assist in general drawing office activities to ensure that all drawings, documents, registers, indexes etc are maintained in an up to date manner within the company’s database.
- Coordinate with other disciplines in the project to ensure that all interfaces are correctly addressed.
- Propose/ suggest improvements/ enhancements to the design and other disciplines.
- If necessary, provide On the Job training (OTJ) to any new/ junior draftsmen, to coach, mentor, and provide guidance on the technical duties i.e.: drawing techniques, the use of software, and how to perform conventional drafting duties, etc.

Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering Drafting/ Design, Mechanical, or related fields.
- Min 10 years’ experience in design and engineering off for medium to large oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and engineering standards used in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Familiar with commercial software package in drafting and engineering database management, i.e., AutoCAD Release 14, Excel, PDMS.

4) Senior Electrical & Instruments
Responsibilities:
- Review, comments, approval and monitoring of contractor’s E&I design and engineering work
- Ensuring completeness and correctness of MTO, change order claims, etc.
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines (process, piping, safety) to ensure overall system integrity.
- Taking lead role in handling and resolving E&I design and engineering issues.
- Provide technical support and engineering solutions during construction phase and offshore HUC phase.
- Interface with package vendors and contractor to address all interface issues.
- Ensure as-built completeness and correctness.

Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Instrument Engineering or Electrical and Control Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience in instrument design and integrity management of offshore platforms, wellhead platforms and central processing platforms for oil and gas installations.

6) Modification Construction CSR (Offshore)
Responsibilities:
- Act as the focal point and lead/ manage the company site team to achieve the high quality level of Oil & Gas platforms and project objective.
- Lead the site team to review and approve the construction procedures. Contact package/ project engineering and other key relevant personnel if require any supports.
- Inspect/ keep/ maintain high level quality of assembly, welding and testing according to code/ standard/ specification.
- Front line at site to handle the change orders and coordinate project engineer to technically agree on the changes.
- Present and promote the key/ important information (such as, team targets, goal, KPI and achievements) to the working team and alert working teams if major risks are concerned.
- Routinely report to team leader regarding the highlight activities, work progress, HSE, issues/ concerns and change order.

Requirements:
- Degree in BSc in Mechanical or Civil/ Structural Engineering.
- CSWIP 3.2 or CSWIP 3.2.
- PCN UT Level 2 (3.1,3.2 & 3.9), PCN RT – Radiographic Interpreter Level 2 (3.4 – All group) and ASNT Level 2 in PT, MT.
- 20 years experience in oil & gas platform construction including load-out, sea-fastening, hook-up and commissioning.


7) Senior Pipeline Engineer
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will report to a Team Leader and/or Project Manager of an offshore oil and gas project in Malaysia/Thailand Joint Development Area.
- The candidate should be able to work with multi-cultural environment with tight schedule project.
- The candidate will assist Senior Structural/Pipeline Engineer and/or Work Package Team Leader in review and pipeline design and engineering to achieve work quality, cost and schedule.
- The candidate will be working primarily in the area of subsea pipelines, laying, risers, flexible and umbilical, and will extend into subsea systems and jackets.
- The candidate will participate relevant engineering workshops, safety and environmental studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, EIA.
- Provide assistance and verification in offshore pipeline technical design and analysis, MTOs, drawings preparation, and develop specifications. Provide guidance / supervision to the contractors.
- Work and interface with other disciplines as required for successful completion of projects.

Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Civil / Structural Engineering, Ocean Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years experience in offshore Oil and Gas industry with at least 5 years experience in engineering and design of offshore pipeline.
- The candidate must be able to review, prepare and/or verify offshore pipeline design, engineering, simulations, calculations, MTOs, drawings and relevant technical document.
- The candidate must be able to prepare offshore pipeline specifications and pipeline material procurement.
- Knowledge of ISO, DNV, and ASME/ ANSI offshore pipeline codes is required.
- Experience of design techniques: flow assurance, GIS/mapping, pipeline mechanical design with fair knowledge of rotating equipment and hydraulic.
- Experience in pipeline design and engineering, and familiar with pipeline design analysis software such as OLGA; OFFPIPE.
- Experience in offshore oil and gas field development pipeline project for engineering, procurement construction, installation and commissioning.
- The candidate must be able to supervise and keep contact with Contractor(s) on pipeline and subsea engineering matters.
- The candidate must be able to attend construction, testing and installation activities at site as required.


8) Contract Engineer
Responsibilities:
- To act as Contract Engineer and coordinate among the contractors, the project key personnel and concerned persons.
- Perform evaluation of bid proposal, financial statements as required.
- Develop Invitation - To - Bid, terms and conditions and contract document as required.
- Oversee by review and comment all correspondences and clarifications to bidders and/ or contractors.
- Provide project management team with information about contractors and market trends in order to select appropriate contracting strategy and tendering techniques.
- Perform negotiations with bidders/ contractors to finalize terms and conditions as well as other contractual negotiations.
- Assist in developing and issuing changes to contract/ scope of work as required.
- Formulate and maintain the necessary files for future reference.
- Perform contract closeout and record finalization.

Requirements:
- Qualification in Technical, Legal or Financial Degrees.
- Min 10 years in offshore oil and gas industries.
- Min 5 consecutive years of project management experience in EPC contract.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in contracts terms and conditions, legal and finance are mandatory.
- Knowledge in local laws and tax are preferably.
- Good knowledge of offshore EPC project is required and on-site experiences are advantageous.


9) Project Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- To monitor and ensure the communication between Project Department and external.
- Provide technical assistance and advice to Work Package Team Leader and/or Project Manager in the assigned task.
- Responsible for ensuring Contract Packages’ compliance with all coordination related requirements.

Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent and with min 3 to 5 years experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills (English).


10) Material Controller
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bill of materials, and reserve material in accordance with the design and/or construction drawings.
- Check and monitor to ensure that all required material has been ordered and/or in stock.
- Check and monitor to ensure that material received is properly certified, documented and as specified.
- Coordinate with Logistics team to ensure that materials are safely and timely handled to Warehouse in Songkhla, Thailand.
- Coordinate with Logistics team and CSR to ensure that material delivered in correct quantity and specification.
- Report material status to project engineers and discipline engineers on a weekly basis.
- Ensure personally full familiarization with the principles, concepts and requirements within ISO 9001 & 14001, that these are applied to all construction activities and improvement is continuously sought.

Requirements:
- Minimum High Vocational certificate or Diploma with major in engineering preferably in industrial field plus 5 years experience in mechanical, piping, structural, civil, electrical /instrument discipline especially in oil & gas industry.
- Given the nature of the job the incumbent shall be familiar with standards/codes required for material i.e. ASTM, API, ANSI, BS, DNV, IEC, NACE, shall be familiar with standard package for personal computer and commercial software on PC to develop drawings i.e., AutoCAD, PDMS.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Good understanding of the Company’s environment and risk.
*Preferably all candidates have exposure in HSE and comply with its requirements.
