HSE Inspector - Malaysia

The responsibilities of HSE Inspector position will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitor HSE quality culture at the project site.
  • Verify all the HSE activities and performances carried out by the CONTRACTOR.
  • Maintain records on HSE related incidents (LTI, near miss, unsafe act, etc.), meetings and briefings.
  • To report any HSE problems/issues to HSE Officer or QA Engineer.
  • Areas of works may include:
    a) Tank and vessel fabrication and installation
    b) Pipe fabrication and assembly
    c) Piping alignment to equipment/machinery
    d) Installation of temporary strainers
    e) Installation of proper lubrications
    f) Cleanliness of lubrication system
    g) Machinery run-in
    h) Insulation application
    i) Orifice checking
    j) Surface preparation and coating
    k) Observance and enforcement of safe working practices.
  • Maintain records of use of the approved procedures, rejections and corrective actions.
  • Ensure safety standards and requirements are observed and bring policy matters to attention of superiors.

Requirements HSE Inspector

  • Possess at least 3 years experience in oil & Gas facilities.
  • Experience at least 2 projects for Oil Company.
  • Diploma / High School.
  • Qualified and have valid SHO certificate such as from DOSH / NIOSH.

Terms & Conditions HSE Inspector

  • Preferably male
  • 6 months primary + 6 months extension (option).

NDT Inspector - Malaysia

The responsibilities of NDT Inspector position will include but are not limited to the following:

  • The Scope of Services shall cover but not limited to the provision of following:
    a) Review all NDT procedures and assist in approval.
    b) Ensure NDT operators are qualified, certified and competent to do the job. Ensure the equipment is suitable for the job, calibrated
    and in good condition.
    c) Monitor the performance of NDT activities including interpretation of results.
    d) Verify NDT works by audit if required.
    e) Ensure NDT records including radiographic films are properly kept, maintained, packed and easily retrievable.
    f) Ensure that NDT Contractor comply with the safety requirement during the transportation, storage and use of radioactive sources.
    g) Ensure results of NDT are correct and satisfy the acceptance level of work requirement.
    h) Participate in the resolution of the quality problems as directed by QA Engineer.
    i) Prepare schedules covering his works when required by project controls section.
    j) Assist in preparation of field change notices, extra work orders and back charge notices when required.
    k) Anticipate and take corrective actions to prevent quality problems, failures, defective works and deficient reports.
    l) Submit daily work activity report and other reports as required.
    m) Ensure safety standards and requirements are observed and bring policy matters to attention of superiors.

Requirements NDT Inspector

  • Possess at least 3 years experience in oil & Gas facilities.
  • Experience at least 2 projects for Oil Company.
  • Diploma / High School.
  • Experience in inspection of mechanical & piping works.
  • Certified examination to CSWIP 3.4 (RT), CSWIP 3.1 (UT) or ASNT Level II equivalent.

General Inspector - Malaysia

The responsibilities of General Inspector will include but are not limited to the following,

  • Interpret results of radiography and other NDT methods.
  • Monitor project welding quality.
  • Witness welding procedure qualification and welder performance tests.
  • Maintain records on test, evaluation and measurements.
  • Participate in the resolution of the quality problems as directed by QA Engineer.
  • Maintain records of works performed within assigned responsibility and ensure quality of material used, verify qualification of personnel performing the work, ensure approved methods are used, ensure advance warnings of possible problem areas of items is provided to the QA Engineer and verify that corrective actions including repair are taken. Keep the QA Engineer informed of the current quality status.

  • Have qualifications of a welding inspector & piping/ mechanical inspector.
  • Diploma in any Engineering discipline.
  • Possess certified CSWIP 3.1 and/ or CSWIP 3.4, welding inspection & non-destructive testing.

Terms & Conditions General Inspector

  • Preferably male
  • Duration: 6 (six) months primary + 6 (six) months extension (option)
  • Resident in the Field.

Welding Inspector - Malaysia

Job description Welding Inspector

The responsibilities of Welding Inspector position will include but are not limited to the following,

  • Interpret results of radiography and other NDT methods.
  • Monitor project welding quality.

  • Evaluate, verify or check adequacy of welding equipment.
  • Review electrode selection, storage and maintenance.
  • Monitor, verify or check supplies and materials (including grinding and back-gouging) to be welded and the type of weld to be produced.
  • Ensure acceptable fit-ups including joint edge preparation and configuration.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections as required for verifications.
  • Visually inspect and monitor welding operations (including grinding and back-gouging) and finished works.
  • Determine use of appropriate NDT methods and evaluate test results.
  • Follow-up on non-conformance and corrective actions including administrative verification.
  • Check or otherwise verify heat treatment if required.
  • Enforce safety in welding, hot work and NDT operations.
  • Witness and document hydrostatic testing of vessels, piping and pipeline systems.
  • Witness vessel and pipeline flushing and gauging.
  • Establish and maintain records of Welding Procedures, Welder Qualifications/disqualifications, rejects and repairs to ensure that factual.
  • and complete information is available to respond to requests and recommendations of Quality Assurance Auditors.
  • Make provisions to be informed of any special materials which arrive at site for welding so that new procedures and welder’s test can be formatted if necessary.
  • Monitor repair rates of all welders so as to avoid excessive delays due to high rejection rates and recommend, through QA Engineer, for welder re-testing or replacement.
  • Maintain records of progress of welding operations if required.
  • Assist in ensuring requirements of regulatory authorities and/or Quality Assurance Auditors are implemented and satisfactory.
  • Submit daily work activity report and other reports as required.
  • Ensure safety standards and requirements are observed and bring policy matters to attention of superiors.

Requirements Welding Inspector

  • Possess at least 3 years experience in oil & Gas facilities.
  • Experience at least 2 projects for Oil Company.
  • Diploma / High School.
  • Possess certified CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent..
